Alongside this Dr Bortolaia started an internship in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Siena, Italy. Her orthodontic training there enabled her to work on patients belonging to every group of age and walk of life.
In May 2003 she board-certified for the “Invisalign” technique, a very up-to-date orthodontic technique for adult patients that guarantees the best aesthetics during treatment. Dr Bortolaia is highly experienced in the use of a wide range of both removable and fixed appliance, each chosen to optimise every single treatment.

Outside work, Dr Bortolaia likes spending time with family and friends, travelling, cooking healthy and nutritious food, taking advantage of the endless possibilities of the London cultural scene and giving back to the community by volunteering for the school PTA.
