Dr Carol Ann (Annie) Smith

Dr Annie Smith has dedicated her career to providing high quality ethical dentistry, placing the holistic needs of her patients at the centre of all she does.

Annie is a general dentist who qualified in 2010 from Newcastle University. Amongst other disciplines, she has extensive experience in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry which she has a special interest in. She completed her post-graduate Certificate in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry with Aspire Dental Academy and is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.

Annie has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and applies the principles of this to all she does. She is continuously updating and fine tuning her techniques and embracing new technology to deliver the highest standard of dental care possible. Her exceptionally gentle manner and warm nature combined with her intricate attention to detail creates a calm environment in the surgery. She has outstanding clinical ability and a drive to meet patients’ needs.

Annie is a certified provider of Invisalign Go and Cfast for adult teeth straightening. Annie enhances smiles using the Align, Bleach, Bond dental procedure, a minimally invasive technique which includes teeth straightening, whitening with a gentle bleaching system, followed by cosmetic composite bonding. This approach provides patients with a beautiful smile without damage to the natural tooth structure.

Outside of work, Annie enjoys paddle boarding, skiing, and horse riding – having once been the Irish School’s show jumping champion! She has lived and worked both in the UK and Australia.
