Frances is particularly interested in the care, motivation and management of nervous patients. Her gentle but thorough approach to dental hygiene treatment enables even the most anxious patients to achieve new heights in the level of their oral health. She is able to offer treatment under oral and intravenous sedation where needed and by prior arrangement.
Frances’ further interests lie in oral health promotion and education both within the UK and globally. She has presented her research at a number of international conferences. She has been studying various aspects of paediatric dentistry and oral health within care homes. She is currently completing a prestigious clinical fellowship with Health Education England. She is the first dental hygienist to have ever been offered this post.
Frances is a seasoned volunteer for various dental charities having travelled to Nepal, India and Cambodia in this capacity. She considers it her lifelong ambition to use her clinical skills to help those in less fortunate circumstances. She is currently a fundraising officer for Dental Mavericks, a dental charity based in Morocco and Lebanon.
Frances uses our signature Guided Biofilm Therapy method, as does the whole hygiene team. She is also trained to carry out teeth whitening treatment.
Frances is very active and sporty and enjoys running, skiing, playing touch rugby and lacrosse and competitive horse-riding. She is given to intrepid solo adventures and has travelled to India, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
